Tragedy has struck as Sarah Moses, Mother of Ahmed Musa a deputy captain of the Super Eagles has died.
Musa who took to his Twitter account to share the news disclosed that she died today, 24th of January 2019, in a private hospital in Abuja.
A day before announcing the death of his mother, Musa had posted a message on Instagram, urging her to “get out of bed”.
“I am sure being tucked in bed is not the best thing you know to do,” the winger had written.
“All your children are waiting for you to get out of bed and say ‘I am back in action’. Get well soon Sweet Mum.” The players’ mother single-handedly raised Ahmed and her other four daughters when her husband passed on 21 years ago.
Recalls that Ahmed Musa ‘s popularity rose shortly after his second goal against Iceland was nominated for the goal of the tournament, among 17 other goals during the Russia 2018 FIFA World Cup
