The 2015 governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Rivers State, Dakuku Peterside has called for unity amongst party members in the state.
Peterside said unity among APC members, irrespective of their grievances, was the key to wrestling power from the current administration of Governor Nyesom Wike.
In an interview with newsmen during his 48th Birthday celebration in Port Harcourt, he also said peace should be restored devoid of hatred and animosity.
On the 2019 appropriation Bill presented by Governor Nyesom Wike, Peterside, who is also the Director General of Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, said the budget had figures without projection for life changing projects and policies.
“The APC must unite so we can save Rivers State from misgovernance. I can tell you Governor Wike has no clear cut vision for Rivers State.
“The number one challenge of Rivers State is insecurity, then comes unemployment. Unfortunately, this current administration in the State lacks what it takes to address the issues.
“Wike can’t run Rivers State. He has absolutely no idea how to go about it, we must come together, not only as APC but as Rivers people to remove him because of his incompetence,” Peterside said.
